Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey and its President and CEO, William J. Marino are eliminating The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and The University of Pennsylvania Health System from their list of in-network providers, effective March 2009. Their decision will adversely affect countless sick children that live in New Jersey. CHOP is our countrys preeminent children's hospital and taking its services away from the people that need them most is reprehensible.
Please lend your support to this petition and then visit www.ardensday.com to witness first-hand how this heartless penny-pinching will effect one little girl that is stricken with type I diabetes. The site will also show you how to send a letter of protest to Horizon, Mr. Marino and your representatives in Washington D.C..
Mine is a single voice. It needs to be lifted so that it can be heard, so that its message will be taken seriously. Your support means more then you can ever imagine and your signature will save New Jersey's children from this corporate greed. Please pass this petition on to the people in your address book. Together we can make difference!
Please join me in telling Horizon and Mr. Marino that we can not and will not stand idly by and watch them rob the sick children in New Jersey of the world class health care they need and deserve.

- When my daughter gets sub-par health care she dies sooner then she should, she goes blind, she loses her legs or her kidneys fail. For those reasons and many more I cant allow her to leave the care of her doctors at CHOP. Switching is not an option. Instead my family will have to find a way to absorb the huge cost increase that we will be slammed with when Horizon makes this heartless decision a reality in March. Mr. Marino it isn't too late to do the humane thing, please help us.

- As a CHOP employee, I come in contact every day with sick children who need the resources and dedication that this hospital can provide. CHOP cares for children all over the world, including NJ! Those families with Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield should not be deprived of the opportunity to choose the best care for their children.

- To the President & CEO of the most Asinine Insurance Company in New Jersey, I don't know how you could look yourself in the face each morning knowing that you are depriving so many children the right to the knowledge and support system that is the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania. Please step off your high horse for one minute and make a smart decision by leaving CHOP under your insurance.

- How dare they treat our children like this as they are the future of our country. What lessons do they learn from big companies not caring about the little people. Is your bonus that important?

- This little girl and her family need all the help and support you as a company can give! Dropping CHOP is not in the childs best interest. Think, how you would feel?
