We, the undersigned, would whole-heartedly support the creation of a new channel to provide anime, animated comedy, fantasy, science-fiction, horror, and other similar types of programming which caters to a 14-35+ demographic (such as the current Adult Swim block featured on Cartoon Network), or the conversion of the already existing 'Boomerang' network to provide a mixture of new and retro animated/comedy/fantasy/sci-fi/anime/horror programming aimed primarily at a 14-35+ demographic.

    • I would surely love this, especially if it got S&P off AS's back. Look guys, Boomerang just isn't working, but you shouldn't give up on it yet. Add some more adult oriented programming to it like the fine shows of Adult Swim and I'm sure the cash will start rolling in. Good day and thank you for your time.

    • I honestly believe that this is an excellent idea. Having read the reasoning behind it, I can only sign this petition, and hope for the sweet, sweet channel to come. Notice the lack of the subjuntive...

    • Worst case, you should broadcast classic toons during the morning and early afternoon and then slowly work towards an adultswim schedule of programming as the day goes on. But as it stands now, I won't subscribe to boomerang. I would subscribe to a real animation network. There is a lot of development (from making new shows/movies to getting the rights to "fresh" shows) that can be done on a network like this that you won't be able to do (and rightfully so) due to the largely juvenile audience that Cartoon Network caters to. As animation/CGI become more and more a mainstream power in terms of tv(from the flintstones thru the simpsons and beyond) to movies (Matrix, Star Wars, Rings trilogy, Spirited Away etc..) it is clear that a channel that offers a wider variety in programming for older viewers (who's boat the average cartoon fair won't float) has a real chance of success. Best case, scrap boomerang, move the classics back home and start fresh. But that's just my opinon as an independent 18-35 year old man

    • An adult swim channel (or a channel with animated programming aimed primarily at those 14 and up) seems to be a must-have, and I know my tv might never leave that channel!

    • I think that an Adult Swim channel would be highly succesful since Nearly half of the cartoon audience is in the projected age range for adult swims progrmaing block. also I feel that it will attract new viewer who may have given up on animation.

    • It could be very possible with a mixture of Adultswim episodes with Boomerang.Boomerang does have good ol classic shows that could be directed toward audiences 18+,since these shows could be from parents childhood.I would totally agree with a mixture of retro Adultshows with Boomerang. It would increase the ratings and Boomerang wouldn't loose soo much money intentionally.
