To the elected members of Surrey County Council
We, the undersigned, oppose the proposed closure of the youth & community centres based in Ashford and Sunbury, Middlesex.
Both centres form a vital part of the local community not only for youngsters and youth activities but both centres host a daytime nursery along with church groups, a young musician's night, dance classes, a young special needs group and summer play schemes for local youngsters. The latter will be even more vital next year after government cutbacks on funding which has seen the closure of the Kids For Life playschemes locally.

- The poorest of your electorate may not be your natural electorate, but they are the ones who most need your help. Yours is not just to win votes, but to act on behalf of your whole population.

- As both a project based and detached youth worker , I know how vitally important these centres are. If the Young People have no where to go others will complain about them hanging about.Save the centres now!!!! Scottie Glasgow
