    • I agree whole heartedly with the ban. However, I worry that those who would own a pit bull will simply switch to other, agressive, unpredicatable dogs.

    • If any of you took the time to read the bill you would see that banning the Pit Bull is only part to this bill. ANY house that has ANY breed of dog in it can now be entered by the police or animal control without a warrant. ANY DOG! Do you think it is a good idea that the government is taking away YOUR rights? With this bill being passed the government can now add at their discretion any other breed of dog they see fit without the legislative assembly having to vote on the addition. The last breed added to Italys breed ban list was the Welsh Corgiwith bill 132 NO breed is safe from being added. Do not kid yourself into thinking this will not happen in Ontario. I own a Golden retriever and am well aware that they bite more people than Pit Bulls , Rotwielers, Mastiffs, German Sheppard.

    • Get reid of these killer dogs ASAP. Retard Pit owners don't like it, jail them as well. Quit letting these mentally ill dregs use dogs to murder children and innocent, peace-loving pets. http://www.detnews.com/2005/metro/0504/05/B01-139928.htm

    • I agree whole heartedly with the ban. This bred, to me, is unpredictable. The ones that seem to want a Pitbull are the ones that are up to no good.

    • Actually, I work in a boarding kennel and find all the pit bulls there to be sweet, loving dogs. The dogs that try to bite (and attack!) me are popular dogs like labs, golden retrievers, and poodles because more people acquire these dogs and dont raise them properly so they are prone to biting than all the pit bulls we get in there. Same goes for rottweilers (we have 2 sweet rottweilers who have to be restrained because they will LICK you to death!) and other bull breeds.

    • This is stupid, Pit Bulls are not the problem, in a study over 100 dog breeds, that are statistically likely to attack, the Pit Bull came in 4th, from the BOTTOM! It is not the pitbulls, it is the person who owns them that turn them into monsters. Please watch this short very powerful video on Pitbulls, it is very likely to change your mind. http://gprime.net/flash.php/thepitbullproblem

    • This time the poor deluded Pit owner payed for his lack of judgement, with his own life. Thank God it wasn't another innocent neigborhood child who paid the price. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories.nsf/stlouiscitycounty/story/217E57D1840C9782862570000015C6F3?OpenDocument

    • Any one who is voting forthe banning of pit bull breeds are more retarded and ignorant than any of these so called pit bull owners. It is exaclty neglegant people like yourselves that are making this country worse than is should ever be. When did people start getting off on the idea of killing off an entire breed of animals? What's next, killing off people who are committed for a simple petty crime? No doubt that these "attacks" are no laughing matter, but it really is not the breeds fault, but the owner's fault for not teaching their dogs to behave in a well manner. Could any of you people wanting this ban be any more pathetically dramatic. How would any of you people like for me to say I had the right to come into your homes, take your children because they are a different race then the "common white folk" and start killing them off? I really don't think any one would like that now would they? So maybe all the people wanting this ban should pull their heads out of their asses, and breath for a minute.

    • Ban the damn dogs. I'm sick of hearing about them attacking people. The owners of pit bulls who kill should be treated as murderers, since they were stupid enough to own pit bulls. If I ever live near one, I'll definately be watching it with a close eye, and beat it to death if it ever tries anything.
