- One of the four oldest sports in the Olympics should get some coverage. Also the BBC as a public broadcaster has the responsibilty to expose people to a range of different sports. Without this help from the BBC sport in the UK cannot grow.

- it is a shame that fencing cannot be broadcast as it is a very enjoyable sport that should get more coverage. Only by doing that can we assist in raising the awareness of the sport and hopefully get more people to join

- Fencing should get the coverage as this will help youngsters to take this up as a sport and preparation for 2012 in UK in addition to it being enjoyable to watch.

- I have seen the same equestrian event repeated twice today and not a whisper of fencing. Is Equestrian really that much more popular that it warrants this?

- Isn't it about time that this enormous organisation concentrated more on the minority sports. Fencing justifies the coverage as much as archery, shooting, weightlifting and any of the other olympic sports.

- Hardly the Olympic spirit to exclude ANY sport where GBR athletes are competing. Fencing is just as valid as the "maintstream" sports; it take no less dedication to be chosen to represent your country. Also notice that the BBC has no plans to televise the fencing element of the Modern Pentathlon. With the hours of broadcasting available surely the BBC should be more inclusive.

- To make fencing events accessible I suggest coverage includes slow-motion replay with informed commentary.
