Every year since 1901, the Nobel Prize has been awarded for achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, peace, and literature. While I am not a "qualified nominator," it is my belief, and the belief of those who shall sign this petition, that J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, should be considered for the Nobel Prize in literature. Ms. Rowling's words encouraged millions upon millions of children and adults to turn off the television and open her timeless classics. She is an international heroine and should be recognized as such.
