We the undersigned voice our support for the Organisers of the Bega Valley Rally that was to be run in the Shire of Bega in June 2008....

The event has great historical significance for the motorsport community of Australia and has been one of the great events on the rally calendar for many years.

It must also be noted that the influx of visitors who are there to support this event in Bega during the quieter tourist months in winter, must be seen to be of financial and promotional benefit to the community as a whole. For any minor disruption that the event may cause for a short period on one day over the shire roads, the benefit to the community must outweigh this.

We the undersigned ask the council and community to reconsider this matter and allow the event to proceed.
