We the undersigned insist that the FIA (Fйdйration Internationale de l'Automobile) reconsider the decision made to add 25 seconds to the finishing time of Lewis Hamilton (McLaren-Mercedes) in the Formula 1 Belgium Grand-Prix (07th September 2008). We believe the decision that has been made to be wrong and strongly urge you to revert back to the original final classifications. The rules state that Lewis Hamilton had to give position back to Kimi Raikkonen, which he did. He then freely, and through driving skill alone got position one back.

    • A pure and sporting racing incident. Issuing a penalty after such an outstanding comeback with some inevitable highly charged and professionally handled moments is destroying the sport.

    • Disgusting decision. Why not just hand the WDC to Massa and save everyone the bother of running a charade. This is the final straw after the injustices against Renault and McLaren over the last few years, I'll never watch another F1 race or spend another penny on F1 if this decision isn't changed. Time Lewis moved on to Indy car where he might be treated fairly. Can't help but wonder is it because he's black, Max's family background is well documented.

    • Lewis had nowhere to go once Raikonnen had closed the door on him. He correctly surrendered the lead back, then through skill and daring re-took the lead. Once more the FIA seem to favour the Ferrari drivers.
