    • so that is why they launched koodo mobile... to sucker more ppl in with "low" contract prices and then they are going to jack the prices back up with you having to buy a messaging bundle in order to avoid being dinged... nice....

    • I pay extra for Unlimited texting. If you charge me for incoming texts it's as ridiculous as charging someone to shop at the food bank. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME?? I WILL NOT SELL MY SOUL TO TEXT! TELUS AND BELL YOU SUCK!

    • This new charge is analogous to charging someone for attempted murder when he was the one who was attacked: it doesn't make sense! If there is to be such a charge, there should be some way for people to screen incoming text messages. The fact that the user has no control over incoming messages makes this charge unfair. This is a pathetic and underhanded method to encourage users to sign up for some sort of text package; this will only scare off potential and former loyal customers.

    • If there is a charge, people need to be able to turn off that feature of the phone, and the companies must provide new hardware, That might make them think twice

    • Prices are going up everywhere because of gas, why does this have to go up as well. The cell phone providers do not offer a service that needs to be transported to us by vehicle so what gives? Are the CEO's needing more money for their new yacht?

    • Me thinks there will be some lawsuits if this gets imposed. Cell phone users already pay a monthly fee plus minutes with the option to not answer a phone call if minutes are costing to much. With a text message there is no option to accept or deny. What is to stop the phone company from texting you just to pad their bill? You only need to do that once a month to the millions of subscribers and the vaults start to explode.

    • SMS charges are already absurdly high. Doubling them is both a crazy cash grab and unfair due to the inability to prevent reception.
