We, the undersigned, are loyal customers of Costco, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes and Sams Club. Sago Palm (Cycas revoluta) Plants have been or continue to be sold at your locations. Sago Palm Plants are not native to the United States and they contain the deadly Cyanide poison. Dog and cat owners lose hundreds of their pets each year as the result of no disclosure on these plants. Some children have been treated as the result of being exposed to these plants. You continue the business practice of not labeling the plants as being poisonous and dangerous, despite the fact you know of the poison in this plant. Pet owners only learn of the deadly consequences after their pets are poisoned. Often, they spend thousands of dollars in an attempt to save their pets. Most die, despite the medical treatment they receive. They all say if they had known of the plants deadly potential, they would have not brought them home to their children and pets.
Here is what we, your customers want done:
1) Adequately label the plant known as Sago Palm (Cycas revoluta) Plants as a poisonous plant containing Cyanide and/or have the disclaimer at the point-of-sale. You might even realize these plants are too dangerous to sell.
2) The plant should be labeled expressly for young children, cats and dogs that might ingest any part of the plant.
3) Additionally, first aid treatment information should be attached to these plants.
You cannot claim you (your company) didnt know. It is time to do the right thing for your customers!

- After hAving gone thru this and not having known of the dangers of sago palms. I cannot believe there are not warning labels on them. If you own one you might as well have spread poison pellets in your yard. Please provide warning labels so people can make educated decisions

- R.I.P. Tonto---12/6/11 ... He was at the vets office seeking care from sago poisoning....died late that night based on that horrible stomach feeling that i had....wish I could have been with him during his final moments...he was by my side through many of the worst days of my life..not sure if I would be here today if he wasn't in my life....I feel so horrible knowing he was at the vets office without me there...felt like he was all alone...I hope he knows I was with him in spirit even though I wasn't physically present...I try to tell myself it was the right thing to do when I left him with my parents...they have a big yard and another dog he could play with...wish I knew about their new plants....I get a panicky phone call from my mom...then I'm led to believe everything is ok....I didn't feel like I was being told everything so I called the vet...she said they couldn't get an ALT reading w/o diluting the same but I'm still told he's got a 60-70% chance to live..I miss you Tonto!

- It is totally Irresponsible to sell these plants with or without warning labels. Why would you even want to offer these to your customers?

- It is criminal to sell this plant to unaware consumers. These plants should not even be sold and spread around this country. Period.

- We almost lost our small dog from chewing on our Sago palm which has now been removed. She spend 2 days at the Vet's of course was on IV's and removed everything from her stomach. Thank God I was home to catch her in the act. She is doing great now back to her hyper self. We were blessed we got her to the Vet in time. I am so sorry for the animals who did not make it through this horrific nighmare and their family.

- Our new puppy is lethargic...we thought it was Parvo, then my husband remembered yesterday he saw him chewing on our Sago Palm Tree. I am keeping him warm & giving him pedialyte with a syringe because I read to do so on the Internet but it sure looks like he is dying...So we go to the Internet & research Sago Palms, only to find out they are deadly!! Thanks alot big retailers, for not putting a warning on them so we could put them out of reach of our beloved pets and very much loved kids! Signed, hoping he won't die...I simply cannot afford to take him to the Vet for Hundreds of dollars to have him die anyway! I am a single Mom and my 3 Kids are my main Priority! Warning Labels, please!!

- On June 10th I purchased two sago plants from Cotsco. I was pricked by one of its needles when bringing it home. On June 12th I was home, not feeling well and noticed my cat chewing on the plant. I never thought twice about either incident. Yesterday afternoon, I was online looking for care instruction for my new plant when I came across numerous websites about how dangerous this plant is to humans and animals. I immediately called Cotsco. I was examined in an emergency room last night at the request of my doctor as it was too late in the afternoon to see him. This morning my vet ran blood test on my cat to detect any liver damage from the plants deadly poison. I will get the vet results tomorrow. I am working with a manager at cotsco to be reimbursed for the vet bill. I cannot believe that they are allowed to sell something so dangerous without warning labels. I am awaiting a response from Cotsco.

- I bought one of these at WalMart did some research after my arm became irritated after brushing up against the plant. I returned it to WalMart, along with printed articles that the manager kept. They refunded my money, but the plants are still on the shelves with No warning label whatsoever.

- How sad that the plants label did not state that it is poisonous. I purchased several houseplants that day- a little warning on the label of the sago palm should be required and I would have left that one at the store and gotten a different one that wasn't deadly to my family. What are you waiting for- a lawsuit???? Maybe you'll get one and I'm bringing hell's fury with me.

- My 1 year old puppy got a hold of a Sago Palm seed about a 3 weeks ago. Although I got it out of her mouth before she ingested hardly anything, she may still die. I wish I had known what a deadly toxin is in these plants. I got her treatment started soon and have spent thousands of dollars, but the damageto her liver is continuing. I am brokenhearted about possibly losing her. Sago Palms are extremely popular in my Houston neighborhood, so I have been spreading the word. No one knows how deadly these plants are. Please put a warning on these plants. No one should have to go through this.

- We just lost my three year old yorkie, Roxie, to this HORRIBLE BEAST, THE SAGO PALM, two weeks ago after she ate a seed. PLEASE, PLEASE OUTLAW THIS MONSTER OR AT THE VERY LEAST MAKE EVERYONE AWARE BY LABELING THIS THING IN BIG LETTERS AS EXTREMELY POISON. No one should have to go through what my Baby Girl did. It was awful and after intensive vet care, she still passed away! This should be against the law, people!!!
