- The school is gravely underestimating the negative impact that not being allowed to graduate can have on a young person. It is a very serious matter that, as I have personally witnessed, can produce lifelong damage. Shame on this school's inept management and adversarial attitude.

- This man needs to be brought before the school board and members of the school district for a good tongue lashing.

- This incident is a clear case of discrimination and the Bernalillo School Board should be ashamed of themselves. I hope that the ACLU and other organizations call into question your incompetence in handling this incident.

- The prinicipal needs to be held accountable for her actions of potentially destroying a young woman's life. She's actually going to run a charter school for new American immigrants. Can you believe it? She, and the school board, MUST be stopped!

- The lack of concern shown by the school district for Cynthia Banuelos is reprehensible. I have a masters of Education from Harvard and the #1 attribute that educators should have is compassion, understanding, and tolerence.

- When a principle refuses to allow a student who has demonstrated merit and scholastic integrity participate in her own graduation over a "policy" she can override, that principle is no longer an advocate for education or someone capable of objective decion making. Janelle Taylor Garcia is a disgrace to the education system and to good principles all over the country whose goal is to reward good students like Cynthia Banuelos. I am schocked and offended that one individual can hold such power of the well being and future of a student. shame on Janelle Taylor Garcia. She should be removed from her post as she has FAILED in demostrating leadership.
