We, the undersigned, are opposed to selling Burlington's Landlocked Forest to the development company Patriot Partners. This property was originally purchased by the Town of Burlington for the purposes of preserving open space and the protection of the Town's Water Resource District and Aquifer. We urge Burlington Town officials to vote against the sale of the Landlocked Forest to Patriot Partners, and to work with officials in Bedford and Lexington to provide better access to the land for Burlington residents.

    • conservation land should stay that way. Tax benefit will be minumal in long run. Permant loss of green space is unforgivable as a tax relief effort.

    • This land was purchased by the Town of Burlington, and is owned 100\% by the Town. The purpose of this purchase initially was to provide open space for the town and to protect the water supply. There is absolutely no need to develop this land. We should not add additional infrastructure pressures to an already over-developed community.

    • There are so many other places in the area that can be developed without ruining a forest that this should not even be considered.

    • This land was bought by the Town of Burlington to be kept as open land. Our beautiful Town has been developed to death to the point that we look more like a City. Didn't we learn from the 3-Way swap in which the Town got the short end of that stick. This land should not be sold or developed before every possible option has been discussed as to the best use of this land. We have been holding this for 10 years and it is being used as a bike and hiking area for the people. It should be kept for this purpose. If in the future, it is decided we need to sell this land, it should be put out for public bid so that we get several options to choose from.
