We, the undersigned, petition the government to put a stop to the planned cuts to the defence budget and to supply proper funding to allow all our forces to be equipped, according to the comittments made.


The ongoing cuts to an already struggling institution, continues to be a travesty that must be stopped. This is echoed in the increasing number of recorded verdicts of unlawful killing with regard to soliders deaths where they have died due to consistent failings to properly equip our troops. The welfare and morale of our troops faced with the effects of these cuts on a daily basis is at an all time low. This must be adressed with immediate effect in order to support our struggling forces.


On behalf of us, you request our armed forces to protect us and continue to serve queen and country, and therefore you must ensure that more funds are available.

    • I am sick of hearing this government paying lipservice to defence while wasting billions on the health service , social services, which may make good headlines but is not value for money. Russia/China/Iran are growing threats and america is about to undergo a change in direction - we need to build not weaken our defenses

    • I regretted joing the forces as a young man, as a long term careeer back a few years ago . Now today I am so glad I never joined up, the conditions our forces have to work & live under are are terrible. This country has become very vunerable due to the "Fat Cat" politicians, who make key decissions from behind office desks.

    • The way our armed forces conduct themselves in their service to our country is one of the few things left that still leave me proud to be British, don't cut the budget and allow this to go to rack and ruin like the other services you've neglected.
