We, the undersigned, hereby petition Dr. Uwe Boll to look deeper into the various petitions or polls demanding him to withdraw from movie industry whatsoever, and to realise the intended meaning hidden behind them. Instead of thinking in the "obey or resist" category, we hereby ask Dr. Uwe Boll to change his approach to directing as follows.
We acknowledge that directing is Dr. Boll's hobby, passion, lifetime ambition and it would not seem proper to force someone to abandon their interests. Also, we are fully aware that Dr. Boll is an avid videogame fan, and again it would feel improper to expect anyone to drop their hobby as a result of public pressure.
Meanwhile, we feel that Dr. Boll's visions of videogame adaptations introduce such radical changes, that the resulting movies either have little in common with the original videogames, or do not do the videogames justice as expected by the videogaming community. We feel that it is also quite improper to keep an arrogant approach and claim to know better how a videogame should be portrayed, despite of thousands voices of critique.
Hence, we ask Dr. Boll to keep making videogame-based movies if he so wishes, but to market his productions as INSPIRED BY chosen videogames, WITHOUT direct usage of any titles or names that form the games' uniquely recognizable image. This will allow Dr. Uwe Boll to create the movies he loves to create, and perhaps finally gain the recognition he claims he deserves, but without enraging any communities or potentially destroying future filmmakers' chances of making movies directly based on the same videogame franchises.
As a positive aspect, we point out that making a movie only unofficially tied to a videogame and thus having no "fanbase boost", and still becoming a box-office hit, might prove an interesting challnge for Dr. Uwe Boll.
Also on a positive side, we feel that switching to a "loosely tied" model might give Dr. Uwe Boll more freedom in bringing his ideas to the screen, while subjecting him to less critique from supporters of the "stay true or stay away" notion.
We feel that this approach will prove to be the "middle ground" between those who would gladly see Dr. Uwe Boll permanently removed from the movie industry, and Dr. Uwe Boll himself who remains resolute in his belief in his abilities as a movie director.

- In the Name of the King was the worst movie I've ever seen. Please send the $8.00 I paid and an additional 10 for snacks that I tried to choke down during your piece of crap movie. I would rather see George Clooney in Batman and Robin 24 hrs a day four the rest of my life then watch another of your movies. I don't know how to help you try to get your next movie right cause I'm not a director, but I am a fan and my opinion matters!

- Maybe we should also petition the Movie Co.s to stop giving him contracts for major films.

- I think that this is a fair compromise. As long as he stays away from making video game movies, he'll have a better chance of making a decent one instead of pissing off a bunch of fans with going the opposite direction with a video game movie...like alone in the dark...which had only one thing in common with the movie. and it was the main character's first name...I digress

- To be honest, I kinda like his movies, so long as I'm not reminded of their names.
