This petition is for those who think that Brown should be boycotted by radio, media, and all forms of media. (Many endorsements affiliated with Brown have already been snatched off the air; Wrigley's Double Mint & Got Milk? Advertisements). If we continue to support Brown not only are we promoting the acceptance of domestic violence but also ignoring the underlying scars (mentally, emotionally and psychially) involving the the assaulted woman.
In what seemed like the perfect love story has now erupted into a sordid violent relationship. Many have voiced their opinions on what happened on that ill-fated night, but what we do know is that Chris Brown did assault a woman (US Weekly, NBC, FOX, CNN & various other sources reported). This petition is not only for Rihanna fans and those wishing her warm wishes but to those against domestic violence. It is not the fact that she is a worldwide phenomenon, or "the chick working at McDonalds" as KanYe West sums it up -- any type of abuse towards a partner is absolutely not tolerated. I know many have expressed concerns about the fact that: "people are only being harsh towards Chris Brown, she must have done something to prove him" ; well that was inevitable, Rihanna (a woman) is psychically powerless to Brown.
Although many of Chris Brown stans (die hard supporters who would even deny, if imagery proof was shown, that he did attack Rihanna) have banned together and launched numerous campaigns it is up to us Rihanna supporters and members against domestic violence to launch our own petition to stop the abusive 'singer'.
A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE: Many know growing up Chris Brown witnessed his mother being allegedly "abused by his step father", and with forming this innocent Boy-next-door act Chris has tried to convey he vowed never to hit a woman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqVCPLFjNhw -- at the 4:10 mark). Brown has also been scrutinized by the media for having a violent history, as he was seen getting into an altercation overseas. So far the only true colors showing are his.
HAVE SOME COMPASSION FOR BROWN, TOO: Sure you may have formerly been a fan of Chris Brown but painting Chris Brown as the victim in this situation is blatantly displeasing. There should never ever be a reason to hit a woman and as reports have claimed that Rihanna suffered many damages to her face after being punched/smacked (including scratches bite marks, busted lip) by Brown. Lenience towards Chris Brown will absolutely not be tolerated, even if the fight was initiated by Rihanna. You wouldn't psychically assault someone basically powerless to you, and that is exactly what Chris Brown did.
HOW TO BOYCOTT CHRIS BROWN: This is a serious matter and our affiliates will make sure they are fully executed. You can do your part by signing this petition, and by starting more petitions. You can help in the media by calling in to your radio station and quantify your disgusts that they would still support someone of that criteria (Frankly radios are not missing much by pulling his songs from their playlist, a similar synth-pop replacement for Forever is "Closer" by Ne-Yo and an alternative to his hit-song With You varies from anything Stargate has produced in the last two years). I am not a bully and not interested in seeing Chris Brown fail. He will bounce back, these celebrities always get away with murder. By boycotting his current projects (not buying his Exclusive edition, purchasing any of his music on iTunes) will hopefully impact him to realize what he has done wrong.
NB: If you do not agree with the above stated, simply do not sign the petition -- stan-ist and uneducated comments will simply be laughed at. I frankly don't care how much Double Mint gum you chew a day.
BOYCOTTING BROWN, SO FAR:
- Wrigley's
- NBA All Stars Game
- Got Milk? Ads
- PerezHilton.com
- strong men against feeble men abusing women
I think Rihanna is big enough that this will not cloud her career, it will not overpower her career, Shepherd insisted. She has enough hits, shes famous enough, enough people love her. Shes a global star.
-- Lets continue to support Rihanna, we all wish her a speedy recovery and should respect her privacy as she copes with this issue.

- I am not a Rihanna music fan, but what he did to her is unthinkable. He should be ashamed and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

- Physical abuse is deplorable. What kind of weak and awful society are we if we condone Chris Brown's dangerous behavior with continued support of his music career from our hard earned dollars? Despite his (yes, phenomenal) talent, he needs to exit the biz" asap. This is not our fault - it is HIS and HIS alone!!! In REAL life, there are no second chances. Theres plenty of other civilized talent out there who actually deserve the merits of a career like Chris. Take responsibility, Chris, and say goodbye.

- As the father of 2 young daughters I feel that to allow this person to remain in the spotlight as a role model for children is idiocy driven by money grubbing profit hounds.

- Chris Brown and Rihanna are both adults and what goes on in their private life is their business. BUT I do not think they are appropriate role models for kids to look up to at the moment. Maybe in the future when they are older and more mature about the decisions they decide to make in life.
