In October of 1988, our daughter Christie Montrella (sixteen years of age)was kidnapped and murdered by Donato Lombardozzi, a co-worker at the Willoughby Master Pizza. He then tossed her body at the 38 mile marker of RT 271 south like so much trash. It took the police and many citizen searchers four days to find her. Needless to say, our family was devastated, and nothing would ever be the same for any of us including our wonderful community of Willoughby.
Lombardozzi was convicted of this crime in March of 1989 and was sentenced to 25 years to Life. He resides at the Marion Correctional Facility in Marion, Ohio. We feel that he should remain there.
We have recently been informed that his first opportunity for parole will be in January of 2009. He will have only served twenty years of the original sentence! We do not feel that his possible release is appropriate, and we are protesting such a release. We need your help. Please sign this petition and add any comments that you want to make regarding this situation. We are told that the parole board looks at any form of protest very seriously. Our family will be present at the parole hearing to protest Lombardozzis release and make our wishes known.
You cannot imagine the extent of our appreciation to you for your efforts in this matter.

- Please, twenty years is not enough for the hideous crime he committed. My niece and her family did not deserve this, as nobody deserves to die like this, but he does deserve to remain in jail. How many times do we here that a rapist, murderer is a recidivist. I would not want another family to go through the same thing

- Given the unbelievable loss and pain the Montrella Family has had to endure, it breaks my heart to think they have to experience this re-opening of carefully mended wounds. Please, this man absolutely does not deserve to be released under any circumstances.

- Please spare the Montrella family and more unnecessary pain. They have been through more than any family should ever have to endure.

- Please keep this person behind bars for life for the unspeakable crime he committed. DO NOT grant his parole!! He took the life of an innocent and beautiful girl, devastated her family, friends and community. He does not deserve freedom.

- I am a friend of Mark and Mike Montrella and know that this has taken a massive toll on the whole Montrella family. To me this isn't just a crime against the Montrella Family but the human race in general, unforgiveable, and this man should never see the light of day.

- I have known the Montrella family for over 30 years and know the devistation they have gone through over the murder of their daughter Christie Montrella. I hope the inmate's parole is denied because of the horrible crime he committed.
