The letter "W" doesn't really have a name of its own; it is the only letter in the alphabet that is defined by its resemblance to another letter. It is also the only letter whose name is more than one syllable, making it conspicuously inefficient. Worst of all, it is the only letter which doesn't even have its sound in its name!
Let's change the pronunciation of "double-u" to "we". It's short, sensible, and fits well with the formula used to name all the other letters.

- absolutely correct to change W to V as When has a V sound and not W's.... very difficult pronunciation in caes of abbreviations like WRI... we immediately pronounce it as V.R.I and not Double-U.R.I (i mean its tough to think/speak and slow as well)
