We, the undersigned draw the attention of Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism to the following:

THAT in Czech Republic is a democratic country and member of European Union. Czech Republic is Canadas strong ally and friend. Czech citizens travel freely, without visas, to all European Union countries and to many other allies of Canada including United States of America.

THAT the visa requirement is an unnecessary burden on both Canadians and their Czech families and friends wishing to visit Canada.

THAT the Canadian Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic does not issue visas, meaning that Czechs must obtain visas from the Canadian Embassy in Vienna, Austria and are burdened with additional costs and delays.

THAT the requirement for Czechs to obtain visas is a substantial hindrance to business and trade between Canada and Czech Republic.

THEREFORE your petitioners call upon you to remove the visa requirement for Czech citizens wishing to visit Canada.

    • Please try to create laws for to avoid the misuse of your social system and asylum policy, similar to the laws they are valid in the USA. Visa requirement is not a solution of this problem.

    • I am 73 old I have a dual citizenship as a Canadian for over 30 years and Czech by birth. Friends often ask me whether I feel to be a Canadian or a Czech. My sincere answer is always that I love both countries and feel blessed to have not one but two homes (and feel a bit confused when we play hockey against each other). The recent indiscriminate re-imposition of visa requirements on visitors from the Czech Republic doesnt affect me personally but it hurts badly my sense of a fair play. I know first hand how incredibly uncongenial most Gypsies are and how hard the Czechs are trying to resolve their collective incompatibility with a civilized society. After over 30 years in Canada I am also familiar with the everlasting failure and incompetence with which we in Canada handle our natives Our (Canadian) government has not enough courage and honesty to admit that our common problem is with ethnic Gypsies who are coming to Canada to take advantage of our outdated, wasteful and impotent immigration system.
