To: UNHCR in Turkey

We undersign are writing to express our strongest concern over the lives of MR. DAVOOD BAGHERI who was arrested by the Turkish police on his way between Turkey Greece borders and he is still in Ederne prison.
Mr. Davood Bagheri was an active member of the university students movement and took an active role in organizing the recent wave of students demonstration in Iran. A number of Mr. Davood Bagheri comrades and friends have been arrested and have been subjected to severe torture and mistreatment by the Iranian government. Mr. Davood Bagheri had to flee Iran and make his way to Turkey for the fear of being arrested and put in prison by the Iranian authorities who could have resulted in his severe punishment and torture.
We urge UNHCR to call turkish govermnet to free him and accepte his apply for asulum seeker ASAP .
