Dear Konami:
This is a formal request of the entire DDR Community.
We love your game of Dance Dance Revolution. It has become more than just a game to many of us. It is apart of our lifestyle. In addition to the fun we have, many of us have developed great friendships and communities that will last for ever. For that we thank you very much.
Our request is simple. Please continue to release arcade versions of the game. We understand the decline in popularity in Japan, and the ongoing problem of arcade piracy. Therefore we offer these two suggestions to help minimize these issues to help you sell more units. The first is to have a large hardware upgrade that would be required to use the next mix. Seeing how many arcades in the USA have extreme, some legal some not, and the number of players who go to play at them, it is a given that most arcades would upgrade to the next mix if it is a good mix, so by having a hardware upgrade you can minimize the potential for piracy.
The second is much different. It is for Konami of America to reopen its coin op doors and release a new DDR Arcade version in the USA. With the success of the home versions, it is clear that the licensed songs used on the home mixes would be a huge hit in the American arcade business. This would take care of any issues you may have with importing of DDR.
I hope that you please consider the words of all of your loyal fans. Thank you very much for such a wonderful product!

- I love the arcade versions of DDR! People sink whole dollars into those to play! I was outraged when I returned to Smugglers' Notch, VT and found out the DDR machine had been removed after only two weeks of my absense. I spent $110 in the course of last year's Spring Break on a cruise DDR machine, the Voyager of the Seas Royal Carribbean liner. I was called "The Dancing Hero." If Konami wants fans to buy more games, then they'll need to keep up the intensity and keep those arcade machines alive. Nothing like actually dancing to DDR on a pad that won't break down like soft ones do!
