This is a petition to Disney / Buena Vista to release the uncut version of the of the film "Dead Presidents" with all the special features included on the Criterion release.We also would like a new commentary from the directors Allen and Albert Hughes.This movie has a very large fan base please consider this.

    • I felt that the standard DVD that is available currently is lacking. I feel that it doesn't really complement the film or do it justice. The DVD makes it look like an action film when it's really more a story about how unfair the soldiers in Vietnam got treated. I feel that the DVD portrays the film in a dishonest way and would prefer to see a better DVD that doesn't lead the viewer to believe that the film as an Action film. I also felt that the original DVD didn't put any effort into taking advantage of DVD technology and failed to offer commentary, an interview, filmographies, or even a trailer. I know that these things must be availible in some form.

    • One of the best social conscience movies of the 1990s, Dead Presidents deserves a Special Edition DVD/Blu-ray release, especially after the success of The Book of Eli and the Blu-ray release of the Director's Cut of Menace II Society. Dead Presidents is an important modern film that has a strong cult following. Please do it justice on DVD/Blu-ray.
