We, the undersigned, do hereby petition the Honorable Jeb Bush, Governor of the great State of Florida, to fully pardon Debra Jean Beasley (formerly known as Debra Lafave) of any and all alleged or committed sexual crimes involving a minor student once enrolled at Greco Middle School in Temple, Terrace, Florida.

Furthermore, we humbly beseech the powers that be to immediately reinstate Ms. Beasley's teaching certificate so that she may once again proudly serve in her chosen leadership role, a teacher of English language arts.

    • Signers, please add comments when signing. I blame her parents (the father in particular) for not seeing any sign of this disorder. Her father (or uncle) would verbally assault Debra, causing a deep childhood trauma, impacted with being rapped by a stranger at 13. Sexual abuse in bipolar victims, will cause hypersexuality later in life (usually within puberty), just as verbal abuse will cause a behaviour regretion to a desired time or alternate behavior. Let's move their ages around. I'll bump up the boy's age to 16 (still a minor), and Debra's age to 34. A woman who has sex with a child of this age is shunned by sociaty and called a pedophile, but if a man does it, he is going through a "mid-life crisis", and it's accepted. I don't believe Debra Lafave should be on the sexual registry, to be branded a sex offender for life, and I certainly don't think a GPS monitor is needed. She has the right to privacy, and her movements should not be restricted. I do think she needs professional help.
