Dear Mayor Kilpatrick:
Today, we, your constituents from the great state of Michigan, are writing you in regards to the upcoming presidential election in 2008. This election will, no doubt, be the most pivotal election in the history of America as we currently stand at a crossroads. With the war in Iraq taking a turn for the worse, and violence in the region seemingly increasing each day, we need a president that will take a stand to bring our troops home. With partisan bickering at an all-time high, we need a president that will find areas of common ground and bring both parties together, to work towards common goals for the American people. With political action committees and lobbyists corrupting our government we need a president that will create an honest government; an ethical government that answers to its citizens. In addition, we need a president who will work with Michigan politicians to ensure that the auto industry is not only protected, but becomes the leader in breaking Americas dependence on foreign oil.
Today, Mayor Kilpatrick, we are asking you to publicly endorse Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States of America. America is in need of a new direction and we believe that Senator Obama is the only candidate with the ability to take this nation in that direction. It is a new generation, a generation that should be built around the citizens of this country. We need a new type of political leader. One that is ready to put aside partisan politics and work towards making this country what it can be and what it once was. We need a president that can build bridges and not burn them. We need a president that is respected in the world and can bring sensible solutions to Washington. We need Barack Obama.
Mayor Kilpatrick, once again, the residents of Michigan are asking you to go on record and publicly endorse Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States of America.

- Honorable Mayor Kilpatrick- Just as you were an inspiration to many young voters when you first became mayor of our Great City of Detroit, Sen. Obama has the ability to inspire, lead, and unite this nation. Particularly, I strongly believe that the and Obama Presidency will have an enormous impact in the unique demographics of Detroit, and will undoubtedly inspire a new generation of leaders, teachers, and activists, who have already begun to lose hope. PLEASE endorese Barack Obama for President in 08'!

- I have picked Mayor Kilpatrick as my city leader. I will stand by his decisions and if the outcome wasnt the best decision then we ( as a community) will have to go forward. I will respect an understand that we are all human and make mistakes and any decision that's made will be for the best interest of the Voting Community in Detroit. P. S. I feel that the mayor had ever right to question obama regarding his presents next to a black man.
