Dear Mr. Wolf and NBC Studios,
As a long time fan of Law and Order, I am deeply dismayed at the quality of acting ability displayed by Elizabeth Rohm, who plays ADA Serena Southerlyn. Unlike her predecessors, Ms. Rohm shows a limited acting range in several areas:
1. She is unpleasant to listen to because speaks in a monotone voice with little inflection. Moreover, she appears to be incapable of changing the tone of her voice even when the mood of the script demands it.
2. Second, her facial expression barely changes during her scenes. Often, her face is blank and her eyes look glassy/glazed over; combined with her monotone voice, it gives the impression that she is reading off cue cards.
3. Third, she does not 'react' to her co-stars lines; a large part of good acting is 'reacting'. Ms. Rohm usually appears to be impatiently waiting for her co-stars to finish speaking so that she can interject with her lines.
Finally, the combination of all these factors make segments involving the Serena Southerlyn character literally unwatchable and annoying. As a fan, I understand that there is a need to have an attractive actress play the ADA role, I do not feel that the quality of acting should be sacrificed.

- I am not denying that Elisabeth Rohm isnt pretty. Shes beatutiful. But u need more than looks to act. Bring back Jill, she was both beautiful AND a great actress.

- I have religiously been watching Law and Order for years and live for the TNT triple play during the week. But I am having an incredibly difficult time stomaching Elizabeth Rohm. She is completely wrong for this part and needs to be replaced with someone believable as an ADA. She in no way compliments Sam Waterston's role as DA McCoy or is acting ability. My prediction, if she continues on the show as the ADA, she will bring the program to an end.

- OK, so i just went back and read about all you people who think these are jealous people signing this petition. I'm not sure how many of you people who are for Rohm are actually reading the other comments and who they're from, but they're mostly from men. And unless these men are blind, then I'm sure they can see how gorgeous this woman is. But gorgeous doesn't make a show like Law and Order. And as for comments made by Brent about how there is always an attractive female lawyer, what's the problem with having one who knows what they are doing when it comes to acting? I mean, the same could be said for Keanu Reeves. We could all say to the men: Oh you're just jealous because so many women find him so attractive. But you can't hide the fact that he seems like a robot reading off of cue cards. This is the same with Rohm. BUT HEY! The best part? She's leaving the show anyway!
