Who should play Alec in New Moon?

Hi, I'm a Stephenie Meyer's fan as you.
Recently Summit has suggested to Alec's character four famous young actors: Gaspard Ulliel (Hannibal Rising), Tom Felton (Harry Potter), Lucas Grabeel (High School Musical) and Freddie Highmore (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).
According to what I've seen on a website, a lot of people prefer Grabeel, but I think, if Summit chooses him, New Moon will be only a business. In fact, the production has already suggested actors as Vanessa Hudgens or Brenda Song, both from the Disney's cast, but New Moon and Disney's film are absolutely different.
Anyway, express your opinion. I'd know that.

    • You are tottaly right i think that Tom Felton Should play Alec he has the bad guy part down and all the others will just bring people who love the actor to the movies and make it so the people who love the books. so no on all the other people and yes to Tom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I agree with the the previous persons. It would be a horribly bad idea to cast the high school musical guy, i STRONGLY believe you need to cast Tom Felton as Alec. He and Jane (Dakoda Fanning) are brother and sister in the movie. They should look alike and I believe that they do. The are both extremely white and have the same color hair. It would be an aweful mistake to cast anyone other than him.
