The Petition to Restore Disneyland Anaheim's Tomorrowland for Future Generations aims to persuade Michael Eisner, the CEO of the Walt Disney Co. and members of the Walt Disney Co as well as the members of Team Disney Anaheim (TDA) to restore Tomorrowland of Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California to it's creator, Walt Disney's, original masterpiece.

It is acknowledged that Tomorrowland was one of Mr. Disney's most beloved "lands" of the Park and featured many attractions which aimed to look into the future of American society with intelligence, imagination, and enjoyment.

It is per request of the Undersigned of this petition that the Tomorrowland of Walt be restored from it's "New Tomorrowland" 1998-era remodel and since decay. The land's bronze-colored decor and lack of substantial attractions fails to please visitors with only 2 major attractions being Star Tours and Space Mountain (re-opening in 2005) and several less-pleasing attractions including the Club Buzz children's stage, Honey I Shrunk The Audience, and the Astro-Orbitors. We ask that major attractions which constantly pleased visitors of the Park be brought back, such as The People Mover, The Submarine Voyage, and Skyway, to name a few. The reintroduction of these attractions would utilize the infrastructures they once used and that are currently empty and lifeless and would bring new attractions to a new generation of visitors and would bring back classics that the parents of this new generation would remember and again enjoy.

It is also suggested that the Astro-Orbitor be removed from the courtyard of the Tomorrowland entrance to clear up space which is needed to lessen traffic congestion. Also, the now cluttered courtyard becomes an area much like a sardine can during parades which pass by the entrance to Tomorrowland on a nightly basis. The clearing of space in this area would allow more visitors to use this space to view the parade and also likely help those not enjoying the parade to enter and exit Tomorrowland during these times.

This petition also suggests the removal of the Innoventions showcase for the revival of Disney's Carousel of Progress or an entirely new attraction which could revive the building which houses Innoventions. It can be assumed that Innoventions is a large strain financially on Disneyland to maintain and keep running considering lines for the ride are hardly substantial enough to fill only a small section of the large queue for the attraction.

The vision of Tomorrowland was to bring the future to Disneyland's visitors. Of course, some of the old attractions now removed from Tomorrowland are since dated with the dawn of extreme technological advances since their creation, yet instead of letting them forever be missed they should be added once more, possibly with new-age upgrades and new features to remind past visitors of the park of the old days and let new visitors experience new rides but with a new, modern twist that only Disney could create.

This petition has been created with the hope to restore Tomorrowland to the land Walt originally planned and created instead of the new, lackluster land it has become. This new Tomorrowland which visitors are offered with lacks the punch the old Tomorrowland once had. Let's hope that Disney's new Tomorrowland is not a vision of the company and theme park's future itself: an uninteresting, decaying mess of something spectacular that once was.

    • I am a minor stock holder and am shocked at how you have let Tomorrowland go downhill. You need to resign and let someone with a vision take your place. You are money hungry for yourself, not for Walt Disney's vision. SHAME ON YOU!

    • Please, fix Tomorrowland at Disneyland. And while you're at it, keep Timekeeper and Carousel of Progress open year-round at WDW's Tomorrowland -- and Wonders of Life at Epcot.

    • Tomorrowland used to bring dreams and hopes of the future to children and adults alike, now it just sells them merchandise. Please bring back the magic that Walt envisioned and gave to the world.

    • When Star Tours was built, they said it would be easy to update it frequently. A new movie and new programming and you've got a "new" ride. How many years has it been? My daughter, who is 15, thinks it's a pathetic ride because it is so dated. When will the Disney Company learn?

    • It's sad to see all the decay. Tomorrowland was always the "main attraction" for my growing kids, but the magic is gone with all the changes. Put it back the way it was and stop cutting corners!

    • Tommorrowland is a frightening place now and frankly - it's just not the same Disney anymore. I can take my family to Six Flags for a whole lot less money and it has better appeal. ALL of Disney looked run down to me the last time I was there. The magic was gone!

    • Please do something with Disney's 'Duck Pond' (formerly the submarines), the Rocket Rods, the upstairs arcade, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Innoventions, and Club Buzz - all could have much better uses of space and should be fully utilized. An updated Star Tours wouldn't hurt either. As a cast member, you should know how many CMs feel about this issue, and how often it is discussed (in addition to the loss of several restaurants and eating places throughout the park, and that the ones that remain close far too soon). Thank you.

    • Last time I was at Disneyland(2 years ago), seeing Tommorowland in the state that it's in deeply saddens me. I'm 33 yrs old, my family's been visiting Disneyland since 1966...all I want to say is PLEASE bring back the optimistic Disney vision, and get rid of the greed. Thank you.

    • Tomorrowland once was my favorite part of the park. The Carousel Theatre has become the biggest waste of space, I hate it, get rid of it now. If I want to see a desktop computer or Disney software I will go to BestBuy. The best thing in Tomorrowland is Space Mountain and that's closed until next year. I'm scared to death to see what changes they have in store for one of the best rides in the park.
