DONT LET OUR MUSEUM BECOME HISTORY
We the undersigned wish to petition The Highland Council to re-introduce entry charges at The Highland Folk Museum Newtonmore with the aim of protecting local employment, to prevent the closure or sale of The Highland Folk Museum by Highland Council and to ensure The Highland Folk Museum Collections remain in Badenoch.

    • This is a great attraction for the village of Newtonmore. Its widely used by locals as well as attracting many, many visitors. Its educational and provides a place for young children to be entertained. .

    • The HFM is a known juel in the crown of museums and the envy of similar facilities throughout the UK.The potential closure of this facility, even in this financially difficult time would be to the serious detriment of the local economy and indeed the credibility of Highland Council and its decision making membership. Keep the Museum with a suitably acceptable Admission fee.
