We the undersigned members of the Democratic Party of the United States do hereby submit this petition in support of the "Resolution Demanding Full Compliance with the Party Charter and the Full and Fair Representation of the Voice of the Party Membership" submitted as a formal complaint to the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Party for the violation of the Charter of the Democratic Party by officers and staff of the Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee.
It is the right of each and every member of the Democratic Party to have their voice heard through their vote in the primary/caucus process and to have a fully representative National Convention convened, being composed of representatives of the diversity of views in the Party through a process of full, fair, timely and equal participation of every member in every state.
It is the responsibility of officials and staff of the Party and the DNC to remain impartial and evenhanded during this process of delegate selection and choosing the nominee. Public and private statements and activities of numerous officials and staff, including in particular Terry McAuliffe and Bill Richardson, have been designed to undermine the process, violate the Charter, and deny the rights of every member of the Party to full, fair, and equal participation and representation in the National Convention, the highest authority of the Democratic Party.
We do hereby call upon the DNC to take this petition and resolution as a formal complaint to the Democratic Party and the DNC and demand that it be immediately taken up under the rules of the Party as required under the Charter for the fair adjudication of disputes.
Included in this demand for a full and fair hearing of the disputes contained in this complaint and petition is the demand for all officers and staff of the Democratic Party and the DNC to immediately cease and desist in any and all public statements or actions designed to or having the effect of discouraging the full participation of individual members of the Party to seek the nomination of their preferred candidate and their full, equal, and fair representation in the Convention as well as any public or private statements or activities designed to or having the effect of encouraging any candidate or campaign to cease its efforts to obtain the nomination and to be fully and fairly represented in the upcoming National Convention and any activities or statements designed to or having the effect of discouraging a candidate or campaign from continuing in their efforts to obtain the nomination or earn full and fair representation to the National Convention.

- I am offended that the DNC has "chosen" a nominee before a majority of the primary voters have a chance to choose.

- I was finally MOVED to get involved by Howard Dean. I recognize truth and character when I see it. I recognize leadership and "ELECTABILITY" when I see it. Howard Dean has it, Kerry does not. We are not only fighting against Bush, we are up against Corporate Power. And it looks like that same power has a grip on both parties. How dare you take away THE PEOPLE'S choice! We deserve a vote and a choice in EVERY state! That's what a primary is for.

- The Democratic Party seems to have forgotten what DEMOCRACY means. WE THE PEOPLE ... of the people, by the people, and for the people ... YOU PEOPLE WORK FOR US, not the other way around. We demand honest and fair elections NOW. We demand freedom of the press to be restored. Otherwise, I think you are all going to be out of a job. I hear Walmart is hiring. Got health insurance?

- Shame on you! Howard Dean offers substantial change to the corrupt system of politics that hinders our democracy. My faith in my party has been weakened by this primary, and I honestly don't know whether I can remain a Democrat.

- Aside from subverting the democratic process with this early anointment of the Democratic nominee before the people have spoken this could also be a disastrous mistake for the party.

- While I fully understand the rationale behind the "front-loaded" primary process this year, I strongly disagree with it! Choosing the best candidate for our party is solemn duty that should never be rushed. For any number of reasons, we would be well-served for the current process to drag on for several more weeks. There have been numerous allegations of party activists supporting candidates other than the current front-runner being pressured into "falling in line." If these allegations are true, this is reprehensible! The party machinery MUST remain neutral and allow the voters to vote their consciences freely.

- Being a Democrat my whole life I am disillusioned with the DNC and with earnest sign this petition. The DNC has disenfrancised my representation and by their interference in the national process, deprived me of fair representation in the Presidential candidate election process and that of my elective choice, Presidential candidate, Governor Howard Dean. The DNC has purposely intruded in the National Conference election process. The DNC and its officers have discouraged the continuance of Dr. Dean's American right as well as mine to run in a democratic election.I support this petition without hesitation.
