THIS PETITION IS FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT AGREE WITH THE SELLERS FEEDBACK CHANGE PROPOSED FOR MAY 2008 AS STATED BELOW.
I believe that eBay are taking away a seller's right to complain about a problem buyer and sellers will have very little recourse for action when a sale goes wrong. I also believe that in more cases than not it is a fraudulant BUYER that causes problems and NOT the seller.
I also believe than when both sides have equal access and rights to leave negative comments about each other it is a well balanced and fair trading process.
I firmly believe the current feedback system is fair to all and I intend to put these views to eBay.
eBay has said it plans to overhaul its feedback system and will ban sellers from leaving negative comments about buyers.
From May, those selling on eBay will not be able to leave unfavourable or neutral messages about buyers which leaves sellers open to Blackmail and unprotected in so many ways.

- This will finish EBay, 100\%. Was the guy that made this decision under the influence of alcohol? It's the only explanation! Complete and utter madness, kiss goodbye to your hard earned 100\% people!

- First Paypal make it very difficult for sellers now Ebay are in on the act. Prepare for bribery, blackmail & court cases galore! The sellers make EBay what it is, a multi million pound dynasty. We pay the fees and are made mugs out of EVERY time. Hope you're happy EBay, because you're going to wreck thousands upon thousands of people's livelyhoods!

- Good sellers will be blackmailed by bad buyers. Buyers pay the fees and are entitled to a fair service from eBay. How is it fair if only one side can leave feedback? How will eBay users be warned against scamming buyers if no-one can leave them negative or neutral feedback?

- Once this new ruling comes into play, I will neither sell or buy off ebay again. Why can't a seller leave negative for a bad buyer ? I once waited 45 days for payment off a buyer who promised and promised to make payment but it never materialised ! Did he deserve positive feedback ? I dont think so !

- would be better to do away with feedback altogether and use the star system for BOTH buyers and sellers.I will cease selling on the 1st neg feedback I recieve that is unjustified and I cannot respond likewise for buyers who are rude or take weeks to pay,I also am reluctant to leave neg for late payers so it works both ways, the only difference is while they click a few butoons to buy we have to print labels and invoices, wrap them ,post them then pay all the fees!Hardly seems fair that once again its all about the buyer, its a bit discriminating to class us sellers as the bad guys!

- As a seller I have had to deal with alot of bad BUYERS, from people who either are very late in payment or just dont pay and people, I think this is the final stab in the back from Ebay to its sellars who already pay way to much in fees to Ebay and Paypal , So in May when it comes into force I will be saying goodbye EBAY and hello EBID.ORG which is free to list and has a very good customer service for both its buyers and sellers!

- Thats the last straw for me I have already decided that Ebay has started to close its doors on the people helped support it, I found this survey and just checked out the Ebid website and am very impressed, so thanks for that Carl I will be taking my money there.

- I'm an Ebay seller & my living depends on it but having been stung by Paypal on so many occasions with nothing in return and now this pathetic shambolic idea of Ebays, i too will be packing my bags, it really is the final straw and will put so many people out of business there's no question! I've just checked EBID.NET and wow, looks awesome. EBay has had the monopoly on everything for so long, it's about time there was some competition so come on guys, let's get Ebid up and running big time and make Ebay realise exactly what they've done! Today is a the beginning of a brand new dawn!

- The original statement says it all, the feedback system is not perfect, but is far better than one side having an advantage over another. In short, how are sellers supposed to know if a potential buyer is bad when all they will have is positive OR no feedback? There is no question that it is FACT and not opinion that many buyers will now nitpick with items and use NEGATIVE feedback to extort from sellers, it should be fair and balanced on both sides. I can't even belive that we need to take a stand on something that ebay should not have made an issue in the first place. Whoever came up with this stupid plan should be fired on the spot!

- I have 100\% positive feedback of which I am very proud. IF this ridiculous change is implemented I wonder how long I will keep my 100\% - we are all now extremely vulnerable to dishonest and unscrupulous scammers with no protection whatsoever. Ebay really are killing off the golden goose - have they forgotten SELLERS PAY THE FEES!!!!

- So you saying that I can't ever be sure if the buyer is reputable or a bum? Good job ebay! Got news for you, I will still leave negative feedback if I get screwed...it may look like a positive, count like one, but I can WORD the feedback anyway I choose...

- This is simply stupid plain and simple. How is a seller going to know if the buyer is of good character? How is the seller going to stop a bad buyer from messing with his or her feedback just because he feels like it? No one forces anyone to leave or not leave any type of feedback...and for those buyers who don't read the listing fully maybe you should try. Most sellers post how they handle their feedback policy in the listing. I guess I will MAYBE buy on ebay, but sell somewhere else.

- I guess the buyers who cry because they feel they should be left a positive feedback first simply because they made payment really got to ebay higher ups. Feedback poilcy should be left to the seller to deal with as they please. I have left many positives after payment only to receive nothing in return. So I started returning feedback after it has been left for me. If your not happy then leave an appropriate feedback, simple. For the baby crying buyer that feel it should be left first because they make payment I offer this...why do you get rewarded for doing what your are contracually obligated to do buy bidding/winning in the first place? If you run a stop sign a cop writes you a ticket, but if you stop he doesn't give you money. Thanks ebay for taking an already good system and making it one sided.

- I tell you this...if I get screwed by unjustified NEG or NEUTRAL I will leave a NEGATIVE feedback..it might not look or count like one, but like someone else said it will be worded like one.

- Why are you (ebay) breaking a wheel that wasn't broke to start with? This will only cause problems and not solutions. I guess I will have to put in my listings something like "BY BIDDING ON THIS ITEM YOU ARE AGREEING THAT YOU WILL IN NO WAY LEAVE NEGATIVE OR NEUTRAL FEEDBACK FOR ANY REASON ANYTIME" and ebay better back me up if someone violates my listing terms by doing as such.

- Christine Large (#30) said it best. I too have a 100\% that I am pround of. When I buy I pay fast and when I sell I ship the item as described as fast as possible and notify the buyer. I too wonder how long it will be befoe some idiot decided to NEG me because a smudge was on the dvd cover he bought.? Sounds extereme I know, but I have dealt with some real winners at times. Ebay sucks now if this goes into effect.
