The terms "you" and "your" refer to Netzero.net.
The term "we" and "our" refers to the undersigned.
The term "client" and "user" refers to the end-users of Netzero.net

We, the undersigned, wish for Netzero.net to immediately stop trying to force its users to use Internet Explorer. The user should be allowed to choose whatever browser they want, and with the recent boom in browser-switching, many users would like to be able to use alternatives to Internet Explorer, such as: Firefox, Mozilla, and Opera.

To clarify our stance...

Netzero.net currently resets its clients' default browser to Internet Explorer, claiming it doesn't support anything BUT Internet Explorer. This is wrong. Many Netzero.net users use Mozilla Firefox for their surfing needs, but anytime the user clicks on a link that is not found in Firefox, but from an outside application, Internet Explorer will open, the browser these users do NOT want to use. Our view is that Netzero should NOT be dictating what its clients use to surf the internet, and it is especially ridiculous that they try to force a browser onto its clients, that is well-known for its lack of security and its outdated webpage rendering engine. We believe that what Netzero is doing is very detrimental to its clients, but the internet as well. If Internet Explorer really has to be used to dial into the internet, and the user doesn't want to touch Internet Explorer, then at least stop shoving Internet Explorer in the user's face after they're dialed in: there's no need for it, and it really should stop in order to benefit all those who are involved. We're very sure that there is an alternative method to dialing into the internet without having to reset the users' default browser to Internet Explorer and shoving it in their face if they don't want to use Internet Explorer.

By trying to force your clients to use the browser that YOU choose, you are making many of them sick, and may end up losing MANY clients in the future because you are trying to dictate how the clients surf the Internet.

We wish for Netzero.net to stop setting Internet Explorer as the default browser; in fact, we for Netzero to stop setting ANY clients' default browser, and allow the client to MAKE THEIR OWN DECISION about which browser they want to surf with, and set as a default browser.
