Professional wrestling particularly the WWE uses a simplified view of the sport by labeling everyone as either a FACE or HEEL. This childlike view of painting everyone black or white harkens back to the early days of wrestling in the 50s. By always making the HEELS act as arrogant cowards and cheaters and FACES triumphing regularly simply lessens the whole product. Its time to allow the wrestlers to develop their own multi-layered personalities and let the fans decide for themselves who they like or dislike. By constantly demeaning the heels, the fans don't respond to them - and it's impossible to end a show with a heel on top because management wants a huge reaction at the end of the show - and the heels have been painted as so despicable nobody wants to cheer them. And so we get the same thing week after week. Make the fans interact instead of dictating to them - let them decide for themselves. If every wrestler had the elements of a heel and the elements of a face, fans would never be able to predict what they were going to do, or how they were going to react in a situation.

Hopefully, matches would become more realistic as well. There is very little excitement knowing Triple H will always win his matches - or come out on top even if he happens to lose. We know Randy Orton will always need Legacy to intervene and that if he does win it will be by nefarious means. Without the burden of dealing with HEELS and FACES maybe creative can start allowing wrestlers that demonstrate the most skill to actually win legitimately rather than be dictated by their label. It would make for far more entertaining viewership. It would also bring back fans that have tired of the foolishness, the predictability and the mundane sameness of the WWE.
