We the undersigned believe that Ebay's new feedback system is absurd and needs to be reconsidered.
It gives buyers the freedom to bid, and to then decide if they feel like paying.
This should be called the Buyers Are Perfect And Sellers Will Probably Screw Up Feedback System. You are basically stating that buyers can do no wrong, when really, they cause more problems than sellers.
Buyers will create accounts to bid on one item, and then either dont pay, or try to get a refund.
Buyers will lie about non-receipt of an item to get a refund (tracking to other countries is not always possible).
Buyers can be extremely immature, and leave bad feedback just because they feel like it.
Buyers dont understand Ebay is a JOB for a lot of people; they are not concerned with the aftermath of not paying for an item.
There are buyers who will leave negative feedback because an item didnt arrive the exact day they expected it to!
The number of buyers who bid and dont pay, as far as we have seen, has increased so significantly it has to be pushing people away from selling.
Ebay thrives on its sellers, which is why we don't understand why you would do this to us.
It isnt fair, and it is no way to run a BUSINESS. Buyers and sellers should be treated EQUALLY. Buyers can do just as much wrong as sellers.
Unpaid Item Strikes do NOT scare buyers. How can you compare that to them being able to leave us bad feedback?
That is like burning someones four-story house down and then saying Sorry, heres a tent to live in.
Please consider going back to the old system which was actually fair.
Ebay makes a LOT of money off of sellers, they should consider them when making decisions like this. The new feedback system is the most ridiculous one by far.
There may be some dishonest sellers out there but there are PLENTY of dishonest buyers that dont deserve the freedom you are giving them. You have basically opened the door to blackmail. Just treat us all equally, thats all we ask.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
