We believe the King of Prussia Mall should allow Feminique Boutique to open a store on the premises.

The King of Prussia Mall currently rents to Fredericks of Hollywood and Victorias Secret, two lingerie retailers, as well as Spencer Gifts, a retailer of lingerie, sex toys, and other erotic items.

Feminique Boutique also sells these products, however mall management has denied their application to open. The Mall has cited the sale of sex toys as the reason for the denial. When confronted with the double standard that Spencers can sex toys, the mall leasing manager said Well, they have millions of dollars (the mall collects 8\% of lessees sales).

After noting the following facts, including:

Spencers is owned by a male. Feminique Boutique is owned by a woman.
Spencers expressed business mission is humor. Feminique Boutiques business mission is promoting sex-positivism by advocating that women are sexual subjects, not objects.
Spencers sells vibrators that contain phthalates, a chemical known to be harmful to the female reproductive system. Feminique Boutique sells vibrators that are phthalate-free.
Spencers sells t-shirts that degrade women, such as one that depicts a woman on all fours wearing a leash that says How to train your bitch. Feminique Boutique sells t-shirts that empower women, such as one that says Love your Body: Start a Revolution.

we believe that allowing the sale of vibrators and other sex related products at the King of Prussia mall that exacerbates cultural norms of female subservience while denying the opportunity for a competing business that sells similar products in a pro-female environment is a discriminatory and sexist business practice.

    • Get real KOP, your mall already sells sex toys and you should be grateful to any business wanting to open a store in your mall in this economy!
