We, the undersigned, request that the website www.FanFiction.net revise its fiction rating guidelines. We are asking on behalf of authors that have had their stories removed.

As of February 2010, the fiction rating guidelines are adopted from www.FictionRatings.com. www.FanFiction.net does not accept explicit content, Fiction Rating: MA, and the rating is only presented as reference.

Within the past two months, many stories have been deleted from www.FanFiction.net, on the basis that the content violated the current fiction rating guidelines.

We petition that www.FanFiction.net allow MA rated content on the website, with a visible warning that states when a viewer is about to enter a section of the website with mature content.
