I support the Fordson High School Instrumental Music program. I do not support Fordson Highs administrations and/or Boards decision in eliminating, or combining any of the classes offered in the instrumental music program.
Many advances in the program have taken place the 2007-2008 school year that have strengthened the program as a whole, such as the recently added Music Technology class, that explores creating and recording original pieces of music. For this, and many other reasons, I do not support any cancellation of any class involving the Fordson Instrumental Music Program.
I pledge my full support to this promising program, with the hope of its continued existence.

- The orchestra at Fordson is a very unique and talented group of students. I attended a concert for them earlier this month and enjoyed it very much. Please save this very worthwhile and enriching program

- I honestly don't know why the board keeps looking at the band program when it is such a great thing to have. The board should look at people within there administration and other usless departments in Ten eyke and also DCMST which has 10 students per class, if they want to get number picky.

- The board needs to keep the enriching fine instrumental program. The board needs to listen to 5/8/08 concert and see what talented children this school has to offer. There is departments within this district that needs to be looked at that has so much wasted time on there hands. The board also needs to look at departments that have high overhead at Ten Eyke and stop looking at each and every school building. How much more can you take away from these childrens education.
