With regards to the incident invloving Kimi Raikonnen and Lewis Hamilton during the closing laps of the Belgian Grand Prix held on Sunday the 7th of September 2008; this petition has been formulated to allow fans from across the globe to publish their feelings regarding the wrongful penalisation of Lewis Hamilton. It underlines and emphasises each and every individuals' outrage with this particular decision by the stewards. It also asks how Formula One can be taken seriously in the future as spectator doubt will be felt from the ripples of this incident. Quoting the FIA on many occasions: how can we 'improve the spectacle of F1' when inspiring, exciting and above all, legitimate overtaking manouveres are punished? Although asking the FIA to overturn the decision may prove impossible, we must as fans let them know when we have been disgraced.

- The racing was completely fair today between both Hamilton and Raikkonen. Charlie Whiting, respected enough to be trusted with the job of race control, said that Hamilton's move was fine.

- Today will be remembered as F1s most shameful day, with regret I suspend my support for what was once a sport pending a reversal of a remarkably poor decision.

- The whole FIA should resign now for gross misconduct & malpractic and admit they have all been paid by Ferrari for years

- I feel sick, drivers will be too scared to overtake fearing they might get penalised, it's not racing when every team is being punished and ferrari get away with EVERYTHING!!! Ruining what was a great sport!!!

- I am a long time Australian fan of F1 and I have NEVER been compelled to write, complaining about a decision but today's decision to penalise Lewis Hamilton 25 seconds is completely bizarre in my mind...to the point that a) I am incensed about the decision, b) In my mind, this decision brings the sport of F1 into disrepute, c) Will seriously consider following another motor racing sport. I am still constantly shaking my head about it, and it looks very much to me that in F1, some teams are MORE equal than others. Does anyone know the right email address for the FIA, I want to send my comments to them as well!

- Clearly Lewis din't gain an advantage. He fell back and let Kimi pass, and THEN overtook him on the straight! Rethink this faulty decision!!

- I'll let lewis do the talking: "There was a question I had to ask: if I stay where I am, I'm going to go over the Astroturf - there's some of it behind the last kerb - or go over it and hit him. Or I go left. That was the option I had to do, and I did it. But I knew I had to let him past, and also the team came over the radio and said 'you have to let him past' which I did."

- I was stunned to see the results changed. Formula One has turned into a red mist. Mosley, you are to blame for these incredibly biased decisions being handed down by your puppet stewards.

- It's a complete disgrace to F1 that Hamilton was penalized for basically nothing. F1 is turning very sour very quickly.
