As sellers on ebay, we propose the following.

*Issue a system where the buyer cannot issue neutral or negative feedback without contacting the seller for a resolution first.
*Disallow any negative or neutral feedback which protests against faults or flaws which have been clearly described in the listing.
*Allow strikes to be made against any buyer who attempts to break the above rules.

While we agree that the buyer should be protected from dishonest sellers, we feel that not enough is being done to protect the seller from dishonest buyers.

A lot of people rely on ebay for their livelihood and one dishonest buyer leaving bad feedback can tip that balance easily.

The majority of sellers are honest people willing to rectify their mistakes.

A lot of mistakes made are out of the seller's control and can result from breakages in the mail, postal strikes as well as buyer's negligence while reading listings.

    • And for goodness sake, STOP the never ending IMPROVEMENTS to the site. Twice a year would be more than enough. You may be trying to help but it is just plain annoying.

    • Am having a current dispute with a disgraceful buyer threatening to leave negative feedback due to the LABEL on a pair of trousers not being the same colour as the label on the matching top. Disgraceful.

    • The change in FB has caused me to have more unpd items since we can't leave negative FB & I have noticed more unethical behavior with some buyers because they feel they can leave us a neg.

    • Private feedback is a way a buyer can mess a seller about and when we want to say what's happened we can't as they have it set as PRIVATE although they can leave negative for the seller

    • Sellers have no rights!! A dead beat buyer can leave negative feedback lowering my feedback score and Seller performance standards and then Paypal (Ebay's evil twin) withholds MY money!!!! What a monopoly. Does Ebay not understand that without Sellers there will would be no Ebay!!! I guess not. I can not wait until they fall flat on their faces when Sellers withdraw from Ebay.
