We the undersigned residents of Canada sign this petition to bring back Capital Punishment.

On April 8th, 2009 Victoria 'Tori' Stafford was abducted on her way home from school. Michael Rafferty 28 and Terri Lynn McClintic have been charged with her murder. Why should we as Canadian taxpayers pay to feed these criminals?

    • Since our Canadian Justice system never puts a criminal behind bars until their death which is what a "life sentence" should mean, I believe in the death penalty for those who kill defenceless little children for their own gratifications. These animals are eventually released from prison and a danger to our society. Please bring back the death penalty in the name of all those poor little innocent lives that have been stolen.

    • these people made the decision to take the life of this girl. why are these guys being protected by the justice systems. if they feel they have the right to take someones life they need to face what they deserve in return. canada needs to put fear back into the crimals. i heard of people killing to go to prison just to be somewhere warm with food. the prison system doesnt work for these people. they know the consequence but murdered anyways, what does that tell you. the people who profit from this in the justice system need to stop and make the world a better place.

    • Our criminal justice system is much too lax on offenders who commit violent crimes in particular murder, sexual assault, child abuse, sex crimes against children, repeat offenders, domestic violence, etc. Violent offenders need to be held absolutely accountable for their actions the first time. We do not need anymore Karla Homolka cases which make a laughing stock of our Criminal Code. Cmon government grow a pair and do your job to protect citizens in particular women and children who we KNOW are particularly suseptible to violence.
