Fox Sports is entirely incapable of doing reasonable baseball broadcasts.
Their camera work is substandard, their color commentator Tim McCarver is functionally retarded, and their play-by-play man Joe Buck -- who only has the job because of his father's name -- is boorish, never having a single interesting thing to say.
The direction and producing is of the worst kind, betraying a complete lack of knowledge or appreciation of the game: habitually missing plays, showing ridiculous camera angles, and -- the worst crime -- skipping entire innings of play to show other games.
Fox crimes also include showing -- live, during the on-field celebration after the World Series -- actors kissing for a publicity stunt for a movie and promoting "astroturf" ad campaigns during games.
The bottom line is that Fox ruins every game it broadcasts, takes much of the joy out of the experience, and makes Major League Baseball look like a bunch of ignorant chumps who can't get a real network to broadcast their most important games. For the sake of the enjoyment of the game and perception of the MLB, the institution we care about, we call on the MLB to immediately sever all of its contracts with Fox to broadcast any future baseball games.

- I mute my TV whenever I have to watch a Fox broadcast. It doesn't fix the other problems of showing commercials until the third at-bat every inning, or taking entire innings off to watch games that I don't want to see, but it gives me one less source of annoyance.

- why not have the regular season team announcers work through the playoffs, instead of guys who love the sound of their own voice, aren't really vested in the game and spend to much time during play interviewing " special guests and discussing things other than the game being played, I think fox should get out of the pennent races period.

- Put the game back on NBC, please. Bob Costas needs some work. Could you at least get the wonderful John Miller and Joe Morgan team to do games on network television? Or get Vin Scully to do the game of the week again. Heck, use John Sterling if you have to. I'd sell my soul to get baseball away from Buck and McCarver.

- I couldn't agree more with the general sentiment. Another thing that is so offensive is the manager interview DURING the game!! It sucks away intrigue/integrity/dignity from the game. A total outrage. Buck and MaCarver are a total embarassment. They lack maturity, style, intelligence, wisdom, grace, subtlety, wit, true humor, and respect for the audience. I speak for almost every baseball fan I know when I say FOX Baseball coverage is the absolute worst coverage of ANY sport on TV. I recommend a viewer ban, to force FOX to improve its overall production of its gamecasts, starting with the immediate removal of the two biggest clowns on television. God help us. These two should be forced to listen to Vin Scully so they could get a clue as to how to do the job right.

- I have to watch the games on mute, because I can't deal with them. Why do they also miss the first batter when coming back from a commercial? And, during the Red Sox/Yankees Saturday game during the 4th inning they switched to the Cleveland/White Sox game. I live in Boston, why would I want to watch two midwest teams over the Red Sox?
