A lot of bowlers in the United States, and in Canada rejects string pinsetters. Because they sometimes get tangled, and feels like they're almost a cheat when they bowl a game. The bowling pins also do not react exactly the same, when the balls hit them like for the pins that fall freely without strings attached to them. People feel that using free-fall pinsetters are traditional, and challenging. But most of all, they would make bowling games more fairly played. With strings, they would kind of easily knock down more pins unnaturally, and it wouldn't be worth anything by doing that. Even if people bowled on a TV competition with the strings attached to the pins. The era for free-fall pinsetters for 5 pin bowling, such as the "Double Diamond" brand, only lasted from 1957-1963. Which then the strings were introduced after that time. And now they have string pinsetters for rubberband duckpin bowling too. We need to get free-falls in bowling alleys in Canada, and in the U.S.A. back. And we also must try to make them least expensive like the cost of string pinsetter machines.
