Do Not Recast Futurama!

Fox wants to recast all of the major voice roles for the upcoming 26 new episodes of Futurama set to be aired on Comedy Central in 2010. Actors being replaced are none other than Billy West: the voice of Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg, Zap Brannigan, and others, Joe DiMaggio: the voice of the lovable Bender, Katey Sagal: the voice of Leela, and Maurice LaMarche: the voice of so many characters, such as Calculon, Kif, Hedonismbot, and Morbo. This is likely due to Fox wanting to pay lower wages to their voice talent. We cannot let this happen! We would like to get as many signatures as possible to hopefully spark a light in the heart of the Fox corporation to give us, the fans, what we really want - our favorite voice talent returning to our favorite show to give us the voices we all know and love!

    • The voice actors of futurama are very talented and should not be replaced. Replacing the voices of so many of the characters would take a lot of the enjoyment of the characters out of the show. The characters are more loveable with the voices that were given to them when we came to know them.

    • Pay the cast members what they want and get them back. It is not worth it to recast. You will automatically turn-off the ENTIRE Futurama fanbase, who are the reasons why the show could come back in the first place. I know personally that I will not be interested in the new episodes if the original cast is back, and will not be purchasing the DVDs.
