Since its debut on September 9th, 1998, First Wave has caught the eye of many viewers world wide. In countries such as Canada, the United States, Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, and Japan, the international popularity of First Wave has been phenominal.

However, First Wave ratings have declined in the US due to lack of promotion from the Sci Fi Channel. On the Canadian telelvision channel, Space: The Imagination Station, First Wave is promoted 5-6 times during the day as Canada's #1 hit television sci-fi series. Compare this to the 4 or 5 times per week on the Sci Fi Channel, most of these times being late at night. The fans are fed up with the seeming neglect of their favorite show and for this reason this petition has been formed. We hope that it will convince the Sci Fi Channel to promote First Wave more.

Spread the word of this petition to your friends, collegues and others to promote First Wave. The first step in saving First Wave begins with the fans.

- This is arguably the best sci-fi show on tv. If it could ever get the amount of promotion some other shows get like Farscape (which is also very good) it might receive many more viewers. You just have to watch it once to be hooked.

- Yet another GREAT Canadian science fiction show in jeopardy. Please keep it on the air. The more original shows SciFi offers, the stronger it will attract science fiction fans, and First Wave is one of their BEST originals. Letters to IBM probably wouldn't hurt, since they are one of SciFi's biggest advertisers. To the executives at SciFi: Please continue your high standards and keep First Wave on the schedule.

- First Wave is by far my favorite sci-fi program on Tv with good acting and a terrific story. Please keep it going. The realm of Sci-fi seems to be shrinking and Sci-Fi seems to be fading away. Kepp your good shows on and you'll keep your viewers.

- The ratings declined because the air time was changed without notifying the fans who watched the show. The SciFi channel seems to have done this in an effort to promote less worthy shows like Lexx and Jonathan Edwards, which have been renewed while First Wave has not.

- FOX can't get anyone to watch their SciFi shows, because they cancel them, so it is not worth investing time into a short lived show. As a a result I refuse to watch any of FOX's new shows, DON'T BE A FOX!
