Dr. Abdel-Moniem El-Ganayni is a nuclear physicist who was employed by Bettis Atomic Power Labority between 1990 and 2008. In 2007 Dr. El-Ganayni's security clearance was suspended due to his political statements and religious commitment. In 2008, his security clearance was revoked without a hearing as required by DOE regulations. Dr. El-Ganayni has resided in the United States for almost 30 years, and helped to establish one of the area's largest Muslim institutions, the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh.

This petition is requesting the following:
1) That Dr. El-Ganayni's constitutional right to a fair hearing be granted, and that the details surrounding his security clearance's suspension be disclosed to him, his lawyers, or at minimum to an impartial, and non-political hearing officer.
2) That government law enforcement agencies reexamine their relationship with the Muslim community (and the American people at large), focusing on criminal deterrence, not political, social, or religious agendas. This includes, but is not limited to the infiltration (physically and otherwise) of places of worship for politically charged and/or ideological purposes.

- I have known Dr. Abdel-Moneim for over 15 years. He has always been a sincere friend. Dr. El-Ganayni has always been caring for the ideals of the founding fathers of the USA. He always believed in the American dream and hopefully it does not end up becoming his nightmare.

- Most of the people suffer from the lack of human rights. I do believe that USA one of the countries which protect their citizens. since Dr. ELganiny is american he should take all his rights as a citizen. I also think if there is exceptional for some people then there is no human rights but racial rights for certain people.

- Once there was a time where jews were hunted down and slaughtered simply because they were jews. And now muslims are being persecuted simply because they are muslims. I wonder how come nobody discriminates Americans. Afterall their country has caused more war in the whole world than many countries all together.

- Injustices are real threats to the society in general. No society lasts with injustices. Social decay is not only a sign of injustices but also result of it as well.

- Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. The right to a fair hearing is the bedrock of justice. Let's all stand for justice even if it be against our own selves.
