After another life lost crossing the A45 between Wootton and East Hunsbury, I think the recently scrapped plan for a footbridge, should be reconsidered by local government.

- I drive down this stretch of road and no less than 24 hours after Sophie's death I saw a group of twenty or so scholl children walking along within three feet of the side of the road. This needs addressing before it's too late for someone else.

- How sad that a little girl has to die like this. Find the money and build the crossing now.

- why is it that only through death councils will/can act, do it now before another young life is lost or maimed, and more families suffer

- This is vital - how many more lives need to be lost before the Council do something about it?

- As a driver who has had to avoid teenagers crossing this road in darkness without any reflective clothing on has scared me to death. I cannot understand how this road has gone for so long already without some means of a crossing or bridge or even underpass such that Queen Eleanor Roundabout has - it may cost money but surely the legacy of a young girls life is worth it. Let this be the last death of this sort on this dangerous road. The only other alternative would be to lower the speed limit on the road to 30 mph an interesting provision for a road like that especially as it currently a 70mph stretch.
