University System of Georgia Budget Cut Proposal

I oppose the proposed budget cuts recommended by the Georgia General Assembly of $385 million of the University System of Georgia. These cuts will have negative implications on my education, and I propose that the Georgia General Assembly find alternative measures outside of higher education to supplement this proposal.

    • Cutting education, particularly at at time like this, is one of the most incompetent proposals I can think of. It's equivalent to political suicide. If our state legislature would think that we would sit idly by and allow such a travesty to occur, they have another thing coming to them. Soon as elections occur, I'm sure the voters will reflect this.

    • It is obvious in USG's response that the Legislature proposed $300 million+ cuts will critically damage state higher education both immediately and as far in the future as anyone can predict.
