  • The failure to supply the club with any sort of capital is utterly unacceptable, how can a business be expected to recover without investment? Then again, I guess in the banking sector you don't have to worry about the books, there's always us taxpayers to bail you out. The club, the fans, the business all deserve better.

We appeal to your commercial good sense (to the extent that such still exists within your discredited, 43\% state-owned company) to continue to provide Rangers with the necessary facilities to ensure our success. We will have no hesitation in calling for a nationwide boycott of all your brands should such support be withdrawn: Lloyds TSB, Bank of Scotland, Halifax, C&G, Black Horse, Intelligent Finance, Scottish Widows, Clerical Medical, Birmingham Midshires, Lex, St James's Place Bank, Insight Investment.

  • At this stage I do not think the Lloyds Group are realising the consequences their actions could have. Rangers FC has a huge fan base and I would imagine a large percentage of that have savings/accounts with some of your groups. Putting Rangers in danger could very well see you lose many of these accounts which I am sure would not be ideal for your company. Personally I think the way you are treating Rangers is a disgrace. Why do you charge others roughly around 35 pence to the 1, yet you are wanting Rangers to pay the full 1 for a 1, that shows me just how much you are trying to help the club. That, among other things, should really prove that the articles you are giving to the press, in which you say you are trying to help Rangers, are false.
