- It seems a tragedy that an issue such as this has to be fought for. I for one had no idea the USA had such a scheme and find it laughable that the UK does not. - YEAHY....... To think I would have to wait 24 hours before the police even CONSIDERED my daughters missing makes me feel sick.. Give us the AMBER ALERT system NOW, us parents demand it as a right.... we pay for the police system, the bbc, the highways so give us a system to protect the most vulnerable of this country... instead of protecting and aiding the nasty scum!

- As a single parent I am hyper paranoid when out with my child, what if he goes missing? What if someone takes him? They'll surely blame a lone male parent!!! Silly sod, typical man etc etc.... I NEED AND WANT a system that will make sure everyone knows the second my child has been kidnapped/abducted/taken!!! Please.. I pay my taxs, give me what my child deserves!
