- This is a very difficult moment for me. Chiefs case is very personal for me. He was my contemporary at the Daily Observer. We sometimes went out news hunting together, played soccer and did a lot more together. He was an excellent human being and does not deserve this cruelty from a government that was supposed to protect him. I spoke to some of our contemporaries and we cannot come to terms with how this case is unfolding. We are all crying at this ugly turn of events. I call on all defenders of human rights to stand up to be counted during this trying moment. Stop the insanity in the Gambia. Produce Chief Manneh NOW President Jammeh!
