Stop Insults to Vedic Gurus and Scriptures

I feel that rediff should not allow on any rediff website

(1) any person or organization to preach or imply that a guru is not needed in the Vedic (meaning Hindu) society, because the "guru shishya" paramparaa concept and practice is as ancient as the Vedas themselves, and

(2) any anonymous article that insults or misrepresents the faith of the Hindus contrary to the Vedic scriptures in general and Srimad Bhagavad Gita in particular. Reason: To not allow it is good and right editorial thing to do.

A case in point is the Guru Poornima Article at

The article implies that a guru is not needed, and it is anonymous. Its parent-website saivani does indicate that Sri Avinash has written the article, but it gives a wrong e-mail address for Sri Avinash.

Such insult to the Hindu concept of "guru shishya" is intolerable and undesirable. I do not want any unqualified person to preach Vedic dharma, or any anti-Vedic person or organization to misrepresent or insult the Vedic dharma, or hurt the feelings of the Hindus.
If you reader feel the same as above, and would like to see that rediff implement a policy that prohibits anonymous articles, and prohibits articles that insult or misrepresent the Vedic dharma or the Hindus, then please sign this petition.
