Boycott Halle Berry for starring in the most degrading offensive movie ever made on the subject of African Americans: Monster's Ball. This offensive movie took African Americans back 200 years to a time of oppression. With every showing on HBO and TV, the movies continues to portray a negative, offensive image of Black woman. This movie certainly does not represent African American woman well. Those of us who work hard to demand respect at our jobs and in society, do not need a movie like this that furthers racism and divides the races. Why Lions Gate had the nerve to make such a movie and why the Oscars would even consider it for a nomination is the most baffling question of the last 200 years. What's done is done, but if you were one of the millions of people offended by this movie, you can help by boycotting her future film releases.

- the Monster's Ball movie showed me how bad white guys want to get them some of that chocolate. Ok, they created a whole scenario around it so it wouldn't look like a black woman had walked into a room and all of a sudden started humping a white man. And if you noticed (for those who saw the movie), she's the one who initiated; the black woman gets horny on the white man. Really, Monster's ball is (to me) an H.P.F. (Hollywood Porno Flick), i.e., the hite man's fantasy of f#cking black women (just like they were doing back in the cotton fields). We should thank Halle Berry for making that possible for them.

- Obviously a person with little self-respect, she seems to like to cater to male fantasies...One of the most degrading annoying actresses of recent times...She's like the new Jody Foster, who is at least a versatile actor... I don't put much stalk in Oscars, especially since she won one... Her contribution to the James Bond series, "Your mama!" She always plays the same "black bimbo", inherently different from your classic white bimbo, but stereotype none the less... People like Halle and Beyonce and rap videos just bring everyone down, if I was a self-respecting black person, I certainly would boycott them. Especially when I know there are many black actresses and performers out there with pride, and dignity and a deeper soul who do deserve to be heard.

- I feel Halle only got an Oscar for this movie because she degraded herself and made a huge mockery of us as black women. The reason I am coming down on her is that I can't entirely blame Lions Gate or any other parties-because noone told her she had to take her clothes off-she decided to. She was willing to risk anything for an award. She continues to perpetuate stereotypes of us as black women and as a result caters to the white man's mentality and the old minset of the slave as a way of harnising her career at the expense of morals and integrity as a representative of women of color (black, mixed, ethnic whatever). To me she is not even the best actress or the most beautiful, she is good but not comparable to many I have seen as well as their performances that excluded nudity and compromise. Its time we got a real, strong, classy black woman representing us. Not someone who will be easily swayed and prostituted by the white man. We all make mistakes, but to me that was too much.
